Mr. Walter A. Scott, age 87, Johnson City, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Scott lived most of his life in Columbus, Ohio until recently moving to Johnson City, TN.

Mr. Scott was born in Vinton, Ohio and son of the late Walter Neal & Ethel Marie Amos Scott. He was also preceded in death by one brother.

He was a member of the Church of the Messiah UMC in Westerville, Ohio.

Mr. Scott retired after 38 years of service with Universal Concrete Products in Columbus, Ohio.

He enjoyed Square Dancing and Round Dancing.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Hoff Scott, Johnson City; two daughters, Susan Ehlschlager and husband Larry and Sharon Watson; son, Wade Scott and wife Carol; grandchildren, Brian & Trina Ehlschlager, Connie & Richard Ballard, Sarah Watson, James Watson, Ericia & Steve Sauer, Scott Watson, Kathline Scott, Jennifer Scott and Kelly Scott; great-grandchildren, Emilie Ballard, Drew Ballard, Chase Ballard, Scott Ehlschlager, Brayden Ehlschlager and Kaine Watson.

The Family of Mr. Scott would like to thank the nurses and staff of the 5200 wing of Johnson City Medical Center for their loving care.

Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 PM Monday, January 13, 2014 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff McNabb officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday prior to the service.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday January 14,2014 11:30AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
