Mrs. Wilma Dean Dickey, age 78, Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Dickey was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Walter David & Atlanta Georgia Copp Broyles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Matt “Bill” Dickey, brother, James Russell Broyles, infant sister, Mary Ellen Broyles and sister, Mable Nelson.

She attended West Hills Baptist Church and loved the Lord. She was a loving and devoted mother and taught us that the greatest blessings were the ones that were given.

Mrs. Dickey graduated from Lamar High School, where she and her twin sister, Ila were all-state basketball and softball players. She retired from the Johnson City Power Board after 40 years of service in the clerical department.

She was Co-Owner of Bill Dickey Homes.

Survivors include a son, David Dickey, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jil & John Piercy, Johnson City; twin sister, Ila Jean Bacon, Jonesborough; grandson, Jacob Piercy; granddaughter, Ashley Dickey; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Broyles officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday prior to the service and other times at the home of the daughter.

Entombment services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
