Mrs. Joyce D. Boggess, age 81, Knoxville, formerly of Telford, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Boggess was born in Alto, Louisiana and daughter of the late Oscar & Mary E. Haselwood Campbell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boggess was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Frederick Boggess, three sisters and three brothers.

She was a member of Jonesborough First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Boggess loved gardening and bird watching.

Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Case (Jack Bertram), Knoxville and Mary Underwood (Will), Telford; son, Dr. Thomas F. Boggess (Becky), Iowa City, Iowa; grandchildren, Kerri Crites, Christopher Barfield, Jason Bourg (Misty), Danielle Sparrow, Candice Underwood, Erin Boggess, Renee Boggess and Thomas Boggess, III; and six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Childers, Corpus Christi, Texas; and many nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. James Harrison and Rev. Nevil Smith officiating. Interment services will follow at 2:30 PM Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
