2 Timothy 4: 7-8

Mr. Ralph J. “R.J.” Pack, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his family

Mr. Pack was a native of Greene County and son of the late Howard & Pauline Linebarger Pack. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by a nephew, Larry Pack.

He was a member of Jackson Park Church of the Brethren.

Mr. Pack retired as a LUTCF and worked with Independent Life & Accident Insurance Company and American General Life Insurance Company.

He loved yard work, gardening and especially attending to his Roses and African Violets.

Mr. Pack was a United States Navy Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jane S. Pack, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen & Mark Brague, Woodstock, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Todd & Sandy Pack, Kingsport; special son, Bob Odom, Johnson City; granddaughter, Blaike (Nugget) Pack, Kingsport; grandsons, Elijah & Noah Brague, both of Woodstock, GA; brother, Harold Pack (Christine), Greeneville; sister, Linda Cannon (Lannie), Greeneville; nephews and nieces, Cory Stidham, Grace Stidham, Josh Cannon, Gary Pack, Kristen Fluitt and Stewart Stidham, who was like a grandson; and his best friend “Mick”; brothers-in-law, Mark Stidham (Susan), Jonesborough, Tim Stidham (Beverly), Hiltons, VA and Alex Stidham (Audricka), Big Stone Gap, VA; sister-in-law, Betsy Ollis (Jack), Jonesborough; .

Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Jackson Park Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Special music will be provided by Grace Stidham.
