Mrs. Della Sanders Head, age 94, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Asbury Center.

Mrs. Head was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Hubert Garfield & Bertha Hale Sanders. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Head was also preceded in death by her husband Harold T. “Jim” Head, foster son, Bobby Hale, three sisters and three brothers.

She was a Homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include sister, Ruth Tesneary, Johnson City; cousins raised as brothers, James Krouse, Michigan and Charles Krouse, Johnson City; brother-in-law, Guy Pealer, Johnson City; foster grandchildren; special friends, Helen Cole, Michael Brummitt and Janice & Ronnie Lee; and several nieces, nephews, great & great-great nephews and nieces.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Asbury Center and Caris Hospice for their loving care.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. William Pealer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Glenwood Union Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be friends of family.
