Mr. Lynn Dale “Sammy” Kyker, Sr. age 75, Telford, beloved husband, precious father, entered the arms of our Lord, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Kyker was a native of Washington County and son of the late Clyde Carl & Hester Fitzgerald Kyker. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Elizabeth Good Kyker, and two brothers, Carroll Kyker and Sherill Kyker.

He was a member of Telford Grace Brethren Church. He was a Godly man who shared his faith with many. He was a “mans” man. We thank God for the promise we will be with him again in heaven. Sammy was a true family man who loved his wife and children dearly and was an amazing farmer.

Survivors include his precious wife of 36 wonderful years, Martha Hyatt Kyker, Telford; his loving children, Sara Ruth Kyker Francis and husband Dennis, Lynn Dale Kyker, Jr. and wife Lisa, Randy Sparks (Nancy Peters), Ricky Sparks and wife Tina, Cindy Christian and husband Mark; sisters Anna Belle “Toots” Hankins, Vera Lee McCamey, Tommy Hopson, Mary Jane Rhudy and husband Rev. Curtis Rhudy; grandchildren, Elizabeth Diane Francis, Joshua Dale Kyker (Natasha), Travis Sparks (Kara), Candice Sparks Arrowood, Sabrina Banks, Kylie Sparks, Jonathan Christian and Hunter Christian; great-grandchildren, Haiden Christian, Aria Christian and Mason Kyker; sisters-in-law, LaVonda Kyker and Mary Alexander (Gene); brothers-in-law, Alan Hyatt, Mike Hyatt (Amy) and Joe Hyatt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Shoba Hiremagalur and Dr. Michael Hodge, the nurses at the surgery center, Boones Creek Cracker Barrel employees, our friends, family and fellow church members of Telford Grace Brethren Church, for their wonderful love and support.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Telford Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Bob Skeen officiating. Interment services will follow at Grace Brethren Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Kyker, Jonathan Christian, Hunter Christian, Travis Sparks, Rick Sparks and Randy Sparks. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Hensley, Paul J. Broyles, Johnny Slagle, Bobby Slagle, Phil Thompson, Men of Telford Grace Brethren Church, employees of Kykers Extreme Automotive, Jeff Broyles, Matt Gaffney, Paul Armentrout, Gene Alexander and Bea Hensley.
