Mrs. Geraldine “Geri” Dolores Shaw, age 71, Johnson City, died in her sleep on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Shaw was born on May 24, 1942 in Embreeville, Tennessee. She was a daughter of the late Theodore & Ruth Tucker Miller

Geri was instrumental in founding girls’ youth softball league in Johnson City in the 70’s and coached girls and boys teams for over 25 years.

She was a servant of the Lord and a long time member of Trinity Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Shaw, Johnson City; sister, Dorothy Deaderick; brothers, Kenneth Miller and Tom Williams; two daughters, Angelia Shaw, Johnson City and Jan Shaw Hendrixson and husband Mark, Crossville, TN; son, Rodney Shaw, II and wife Theresa, Johnson City; granddaughters, Erin Coker and Brianna Shaw; god-daughter, Darlene George.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Jeffries and Bro. Ed Jeffries officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Monte Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
