Billy Joe “Abner or Robert Briggs” Clouse, age 73, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Clouse was born in Madison County, NC and lived in Washington County most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fannie E. Davis Clouse, parents, Della Mae Clouse Miller Campbell and Joe English, two brothers, Lattie Miller and Willard Miller, brothers-in-law, Lewis “Joe” Davis, Leon Davis and his wife, Juanita Myers Davis, step-daughter, Margaret Petterson and father and mother-in-law, Namon & Ruby Ricker Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Kephart Clouse, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Brian K. & Tammy Lyons Clouse, Jonesborough; daughter, Amber Clouse; step-daughter, and son-in-law, Rick & Eileen Poore; three sisters, Betty Ann Miller, Daytona, Florida, Carolyn Hammons, Unicoi and Louise Hayle, Cleveland, TN; four brothers, William “Marion” Clouse, Dandridge, Lowell Miller, Cleveland, Howard Miller, Martinez, SC and Doug Miller, Washington D.C.; grandsons, Brian K. Clouse, Jr., Anthony Saults and Chris Poore; granddaughters, Destiny Clouse, Rebecca Saults and Jennifer Poore Ragan and husband, Joshua; and several nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Ferguson. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
