Mrs. Myrtle Luella Johnson Treadway-Jones, age 82, Jonesborough, passed away Friday September 27, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Treaway-Jones was a native of Washington County and the daughter of the late Tom D. and Mary Duncan Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Treadway, three sisters and one brother.
She was a Christian.
Mrs. Treadway-Jones was a member of the Teacher’s Association, Johnson City Senior Center and Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband, J.W. Jones, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, Monty & Connie Treadway, Jonesborough; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda & Jim Taylor, Johnson City; grandchildren, William L. Campbell (Margaret), Melissa Ann Davis (Mike), Angela Shelton (Adam) and Tom Sinks; great-grandchildren, Sarah Greenlee, Erin Campbell, Emily Campbell, John Thomas Sinks, Samuel Shelton, Alissa Shelton and a future great-granddaughter, Calliope Davis; sisters, Lois Johnson and Sarah Adkins; brother, Tommy Johnson (Brenda); sister-in-law Vivian McKee, special caregiver Kelly Campbell, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, September 30, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Fitzsimmons and Rev. Rance Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Adkins, David Adkins, Tommy Johnson, Marty Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Michael Tester, and Patrick Tester. Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Jones, William Bruce Thompson.
