Ms. Alma Lee Byers, age 74, Limestone, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Ms. Byers was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Robert Lee & Ella Alma Sliger Byers. In addition to her parents, Ms. Byers was also preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Byers, Eugene Byers and Dillard Byers.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Byers was a graduate of Washington College Academy. She was an Accountant for the State of Tennessee Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Service.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Willis, Limestone; nieces and nephews, Debbie Byers, Diane Byers, both of Limestone, Susie Woods Byers, Greeneville, Jenny Bennett, Telford, Joe Byers, Jonesborough and Lynn Willis, Limestone; several great and great-great nephews and nieces; and a friend, Paul Holt.

The family will like to extend a special thank you to 911 Dispatcher and Washington County EMS for their caring and professional service.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Bitner, Gary Stayer, Mike Willis, Wilbur Saults, Johnny Willis and Ronnie Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ed Pecks, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Robie McBride and Orville Sliger.
