Mr. Donald E. Shew, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Shew was a native of Washington County and son of the late E.J. & Kathleen Arnold Shew. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Shew and David Shew, and one sister, Shirley Hunter.

He was a member of Bowmantown Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Tarlton Shew, Jonesborough; children, Rocky Shew and wife, Natalie, Anglea Carder and Tobie Carder Hall and husband Roy; grandchildren, Cierra Stroupe, Ashley Butler, Kobe Butler, Kristian Butler and Ronnie Hall; brothers and sisters, Bobby Shew, Peggy Keplinger, Lloyd & Pat Shew, Richard & Nancy Shew and Doris Gabbert; special nephew, Steve Carter; and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be conducted 12:30 pm Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Bowmantown Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Crossnoe and Mr. Mike Faye officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:30 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be many special friends, golfing buddies, co-workers.

In lieu of flowers memories donations may be made to Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.
