“I have taken my heavenly flight from this earth. That Day came that I had been looking for, no more suffering, no more pain, and no tears. Praise the Lord!”

Mrs. Mildred “Mill” Constable, 81, Jonesborough , died Sunday Sept 8, 2013 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Unicoi County and was the daughter of the late Robert Earl and Della Higgins Tilson. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to quilt and collect clowns because she thought everyone should be happy. Mrs. Constable was a homemaker and attended Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church when her health permitted. She was saved in a little river rock church in Erwin, Tn.

The family would like to especially thank their Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church family and the Doctors and nurses at Franklin Woods Community Hospital. Special thank you to Mt. States Home Health and Mt. States Hospice and to Anna Crawford and Debbie Ottinger whom she loved like daughters.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Wilma Jones, and Earlene Briggs; one brother David Tilson; and by two special grandparents, Roy Tilson and Emma Foster Tilson.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 43 years Edward “ Eddie” Constable of the home, one son Robert Lloyd and wife Jane; four sisters, Wanda Mermon, Johnson City, Margaret Richardson and husband Ernest, Erwin, Mary Hoilman and husband Marvin, Erwin; Bobbie Webb, Erwin; and one brother Billy Ray Tilson and wife Rene, of Erwin. Two step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Sept 10, 2013 at 8pm from Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Perry Cleek and Rev Darrell Edwards officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday Sept. 11, 2013 at 11am from Cherokee Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and family. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the church. Donations may be made to Cherokee Baptist Cemetery fund c/o Mrs. Samuel Greenwell 527 Meadow Brook Ave., Jonesborough, TN 37659
