Mrs. Corinne Broyles, 98, Johnson City, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Governor’s Bend Retirement & Assisted Living in Erwin.

Mrs. Broyles was a native of Washington County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert D. (Pig) Broyles and one sister.

She was a member of Philadelphia Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Broyles retired from Belk Department Stores as a Seamstress. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star, Limestone.

Survivors include a daughter, Janelle Light, Unicoi; a son, Tom Broyles, Decatur, GA; grandson, Jeff Light; three great-grandchildren, Lindsay Phipps, Rachel Light and Maggie Light; and several nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Philadelphia Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Lon Byrd Broyles, III and John Broyles officiating. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her great granddaughters, Lindsay Phipps, Rachel Light and Maggie Light.
