Mrs. Carolyn P. Kyker, age 75, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA.

Mrs. Kyker was born in Elizabethton and daughter of the late Joseph & Nannie Nave Proffitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Bob” Kyker and 9 brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Grace Brethren Church. Mrs. Kyker enjoyed music and was a member of Joy Maker Trio and also enjoyed crafts.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Drema & Randy Ricker, Greeneville; son and daughter-in-law, Roger & Torri Kyker, Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Cassie Kyker, Dustin Kyker, Justin Ricker and Joshua Ricker; sister, Wilma Barnett; special friends, Betty Rose Kyker and Callie Laws; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Skeen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Grace Brethren Church Cemetery.
