Mrs. Evelyn J. Clawson , 85, Jonesborough, passed away at her residence Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

She was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Bonnie Berry Hill. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clawson was also preceded in death by her husband Syril E. Clawson Sr. and two brothers Tom Hill and Charlie Hill.

Mrs. Clawson was a retired LPN at Holston Valley Hospital.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Jr. and Bobbie Clawson of Jonesborough, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clawson will be conducted on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at
7:00 pm with Rev. Rick Vannoy and Pastor David Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm prior to the service. Interment services will be held
11:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Monte Vista Burial Park in Johnson City.

Pallbearers for the Clawson service will be Friends of the Family.
