Mr. Carl Franklin McNeese, age 67, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Community Living Care at the Veteran’s Administration.

Mr. McNeese was born in Washington County and son of the late Joseph Allen & Trula Jane Higgins McNeese. He was also preceded in death by two infant sisters and a sister, Mary Ruth Arrowood in December, 2012.

Mr. McNeese was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

He retired from Hoover and had worked in Dietary Department at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He enjoyed camping and fishing especially at Tellico Lake.

Survivors include a brother, John Allen McNeese; nieces, Lesia Willis, Unicoi; Patricia Sneed, Erwin; Victoria Nehls, Virginia; Stephanie Enriquez, Virginia; nephews Danny Coffie, Erwin; Randy Coffie, Erwin and other great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Shelton and Pastor Kevin Laws officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday prior to the service and other times at his residence.

Interment services will be conducted 10:45 am Monday, July 22, 2013 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
