Mr. Charles Jimmy “Jim” Constable, age 74, Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Constable was a native of Washington County and son of the late Fred & Bessie Blevins Constable. In addition to his parents, Mr. Constable was also preceded in death by two infant brothers, one infant sister, two sisters, Ruth Constable and Goldie Sparks and two brothers, Raymond Constable and Bill Constable.

He was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church. He loved going to church and ringing the church bell.

Mr. Constable enjoyed fishing, shooting his BB gun and animals.

Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Weems, Lena & R.H. Whitson and Shirley & Glen Hollifield, all of Erwin and Juanita Constable, Jonesborough; many nephews, nieces and his dog, “Puppy”.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Support Solutions, Caris Hospice and Health & Home Care of Erwin for their wonderful care.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Rogers and Rev. Tommy Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of Jim’s Sunday School Class.
