Mr. Charles Jeffery Rice, age 51, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Rice was a native of Smithville, Tennessee, son of Denver and Linda Moore Rice.

Charles was an U. S. Army veteran.

Mr. Rice enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his dogs.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Barbara Garner Rice of the home, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Dale Weiss and Teresa and Michael Simpson, niece, Melanie McCrary (Billy), and nephew, Derrick Purtle (Danielle), Great nephew and nieces, David Wauford, Brooke McCrary and Bridgette McCrary, and his beloved furry babies Toby and Sally Mae.

Funeral service will be conducted 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Thompson officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 â€" 7:00 PM prior to service.

Interment will be Monday, June 24, 2013 10:45 AM at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors.
