Ferne Eva Conrad, age 79, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Ferne was a native of Wooster, Ohio and worked for Wooster City Transit until moving to Homestead, FL in 1983. She was employed at Grant Center and Baptist hospitals till retiring and moving to Jonesborough in 2000. She was active in volunteer work while able.

She was the mother of Ronald Paul, French Lick, IN, Steven Allen Conrad, Athens, Ohio and Cheryl Lynn Conrad, Jonesborough. She is also survived by grandsons, Zachary Austin Conrad and Tyler Goolsby; and one sister, Mary Nussbaum.

Ferne was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Denton & Effie Viola Steiner Ebersole, two brothers, John Paul Ebersole and Earl Ray Ebersole and a sister, Anna Blackmore.

Memorial donations may be made to a local No Kill Animal Shelter.
