Mrs. Dorothy Bowser, age 89, Gray, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.

Mrs. Bowser was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Charlie Lee & Maddie Norris Hammitt. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowser was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Bowser, and eight brothers and sisters.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Bowser was a Homemaker.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry & Linda Bowser, Thomas Bowser and Bobby & Linda Bowser; six grandchildren, Greg Bowser, Timothy Bowser, Joe Bowser (Tammy), Tommy Lynn Bowser (Lisa), Michael Scott Bowser and Patty Nichole Bowser; and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Bowser, Katlyn Bowser, Caleb Bowser, Dallas Chynne Bowser, Reanna Bowser, Kayla Bowser and Amber Bowser.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Gene Lasley, Brother Roy Tucker and Rev. Dan Case officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, May 24, 2013.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, May 24, 2013 at Gray Cemetery. The family request friends meet at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
