Mr. James D. Street, age 86, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Street was a native of Washington County and son of the late James D. Street, Sr. and Fannie Cleo Hensley Street. In addition to his parents, Mr. Street was also preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Street and a sister and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Elmer Dykes and Bill Collins.

He was a member of the Church of Nazarene.

Mr. Street retried from Caterpillar as a Machine Operator.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Jeffers Street, Jonesborough; sons and daughters-in-law, A. David & Louise Street, Kentucky, Dan & Judy Street, Illinois and Gary & Carol Street, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Richard Wright, Jonesborough; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille & Albert Ayers, Ruth & David Wise and Amy Collins; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ray Street and Dean & Carol Street.

Funeral services will be conducted 12, Noon, Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Street, Pastor Parker Street and Rev. Andrew Street officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, May 10, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and from 11:00-12:00 pm Saturday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Oakland Cemetery. A dinner will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
