Mrs. Elizabeth Hope Lyons Blair, age 81, Jonesborough, Harmony Community, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Blair was born in Elizabethton and daughter of the late George & Maxine Barker Lyons. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband, Vaught Blair, sisters, Betty Humphreys and Ethel Bare, four brothers, George Lyons, Jr. Sam Lyons, Albert Lyons, Allen Lyons and Eugene Lyons.

She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and belonged to “Women on Missions”.

Mrs. Blair retired from ITT.

She volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Jonesborough Senior Citizens and several nursing homes. She also participated in the Senior Olympics.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Vaught “Sonny” Blair, Jr., Navarre, FL, Jack & Sheila Blair, Jonesborough and Lee & Kawana Blair, Watauga; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon & Tom Brown, Florence, SC; sisters, Geraldine Ritchie, “Charlie” Burrows and Rose Miller; brothers, Jerry Lyons, Ralph Lyons and Anthony Lyons;

Funeral services will be conducted 4:30 pm Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Pate and Rev. Tom Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 pm Sunday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, May 6, 2013 at Harmony Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Ford, Leon Cox, Craig Blair, Daniel Brown, Anthony Lyons, Lynes Sherfey and Bo Wheelock.
