Mrs. Maylene B. Britt, age 74, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Britt was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Fred P. & Molly Mae Strickler Steadman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Britt was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Britt in 2011, brothers, Hal Steadman, George Steadman and J. Fred Steadman and one sister, Mary Jo Hulse.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Britt retired from Magnavox after 23 years of service.

Survivors include daughter, Sharon Broyles, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Debra Britt, Jonesborough; grandchildren, Missy Briggs, Limestone, Kerrie Aistrop and husband, Jamie, Jonesborough, Sherrie Prusik and husband R.J., Knoxville, Michelle Broyles, Jonesborough and Jessica Campbell and husband, Brian, Chuckey; great-grandchildren, Isaac & Hunter Briggs, Logan & Jackson Aistrop, Nehemiah & Ezekiel Campbell, and Brittany Prusik; one sister, Margie Dawson, Fall Branch; brothers, Maynard Steadman, Riceville, TN and Lendal Steadman, Calhoun, GA;

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday prior to the service, and other time at the home of the son, 745 Tavern Hill Rd. Jonesborough.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
