Mr. Billy Kent, age 57, Hampton, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Kent was a native of Washington County and son of the late Joe Legg, Della Kate Kent and step-father, Howard Kent. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kent was also preceded in death by grandparents, James & Roxie Greene, two uncles and one aunt.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Kent worked for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and Richard Diehl Trucking Company.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Partin Kent, Hampton; sons, Justin Kent, Eric Kent and Chris Kent, all of Jonesborough; step-children, Billy Joe Collins (Allison), Randy Nixon (Crystal), David Collins (Cindy) and Rita Ward; eight grandchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Deaton (Arthur), Telford; one uncle, Haskell “Jamup” Greene; aunt Jackie Greene; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Steve Potter and Rev. Johnnie Nickels officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Collins, Billy Joe Collins, Justin Kent, Eric Kent, Randy Nixon and Darren Harrison.
