Mr. David Mack Sparks, age 79, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Sparks was a native of Washington County and son of the late Floyd Estle & Lily Mashburn Sparks. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sparks was also preceded in death by his wife, Rosalee “Bootsie” Taylor Sparks, grandson, T.J. Daugherty, granddaughter, Jessica Crabtree, brother, Don Sparks, two sisters, Mildred Brown and Dorothy Cole.

He was a member of Limestone Church of Christ.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann & Tom Malone, Johnson City and Amy & Mike Hyatt, Jonesborough; one son and daughter-in-law, David & Lisa Sparks, Mt. Airy, NC; grandchildren, Shannon Malone (Mindy), Ryan Dougherty, Israel Sparks, Taylor Brooke Sparks, Abbey Nicole Sparks and Heather White; great-grandchild, Lakota Malone; three brothers, Floyd Sparks, Hartsell Sparks and Clyde Sparks; two sisters, Marie Brown and Patsy Keys; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to send special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for their wonderful care.

Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 pm Monday, April 1, 2013 at Limestone Church of Christ Church with Mr. Tony Hoss, Mr. Terry Taylor and Mr. Sammy Taylor officiating.
