Mr. Shelby (Bobby) Rowland, 67 of Elizabethton went home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 23, 2013, following an extended illness.

He was a native of Carter County but spent his adult life in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Rowland was the son of the late Bob and Margaret Bowers Rowland.

He retired from Levy's in Nashville.

Survivors include one daughter, Brandy Green and husband David of Columbia, TN; one son Kurt Rowland and wife Aslie of Benton, KY; one sister Judy Heaton of Elizabethton, TN; and one brother Gordon Rowland and wife Kay of Gray, TN; one granddaughter MaKaylee Green; and one grandson, Triston Rowland.

A memorial will be held in Columbia, TN.
