The beautiful Aldaree “Nanny” Katherine Reed, age 89, Johnson City, went to be with the angels that had gone before her on Saturday, March 9, 2013 after a brief stay at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Reed was born in Erwin, Tennessee and daughter of the late Lewis & Clara Moore Sparks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James William Reed, son, Jimmy Hylmon, one sister and five brothers.

She was a member of Flag Pond Baptist Church.

Mrs. Reed was a Homemaker.

Survivors include two children, Tony Ronald “Ronnie” Hylmon, Jonesborough and Eva Dowd, Johnson City; grandchildren, Debroh Ann Hylmon Ricter, Christine “Christy” Crowder, Jeff Anderson, Charlie Crowder, Dale Hardin and Mike Hylmon; special friend, Dewy Crowder; and several great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
