Mrs. Jane B. Conger, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Conger was born in Cleveland, Ohio and daughter of the late James H. & Alene Schinke Bahrenburg. She moved to Jonesborough in 1981 from St. Petersburg, Florida.

She was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church.

In 1981 Mrs. Conger founded the Jonesborough Accommodations, the First Bed & Breakfast in Jonesborough. She and her husband purchased Old Town Hall in 1982 which created opportunity for incubator businesses (over 30) included in these businesses was the first location of Main Street Café also in 1982 they founded Print Distribution Services.

Survivors include her husband, Dunham F. “Dick” Conger, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, Scott B. & Althea D. Conger, St. Petersburg, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Linda C. & Frank Fragale, Sumerduck, VA; grandson, Donald F. Fragale, Sumerduck; and a brother, James L. Bahrenburg, Wheatridge, CO.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Kock and Rev. Jim Pahris officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 15, 2013 at Maple Lawn Cemetery. A reception will follow at Jonesborough Presbyterian Church.

Pallbearers will be Ken Soergel, Jeff Dupre, David Phillips, John Reightler, Gary Tregaskis and Charles Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Cope and Bill Beagen.
