Mr. Fred Solomon Harwood, age 95, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the NHC Healthcare of Johnson City.

Mr. Harwood was a native of Washington County and son of the late Joseph & Elijah Reedy Harwood. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harwood was also preceded in death by a brother, Jess Harwood and wife Flora, sister, Inner Harwood and husband Paul Cox, sister, Stella Harwood, sister, Mable and husband Robert Sells, sister, Ethel and husband Wade Patrick, brother, Lincoln and wife Eloise Harwood and twin sister, Frances Saylor and husband Fred.

He was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church.

Mr. Harwood was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Rigsby Harwood, Johnson City; special nephew, David Harwood and wife, Judy; several nephews, nieces and very special friends, Billy Joe & Jean Keefauver.

Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Boones Creek Christian Church Cemetery with Minister David Clark and Minister Dick Morris officiating.

Friends of the family will service as pallbearers.
