Mr. Travis Wayne Cloyd, age 37, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his residence.

He was a life long resident of Washington County and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Lee Phillips and Paris & Irene Cloyd.

Travis is survived by his parents, Tom “Shaggy” and Vicki Cloyd; two sons, Elijah Wayne Cloyd and Travis Lynne Kennedy; step-daughter, Jacklyn Casey and fiancé Nikia Collins; one sister, Annie Cloyd; very special niece, Breanna Lynn Cloyd; grandmother, Mary White, all of Jonesborough; several aunts, uncles and cousins, especially two very loving cousins, Jeremy Rollins and Daniel Anderson; very special best friend, Jimmy Booth;

He was employed by Excel Polymers until July 2006 after a car accident. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family, playing with his children and special niece which he thought of his own. He was a loving man with a heart of gold. He had many friends and never met a stranger.

He was saved by the Lord in 2012. He is in such a better place now, with no pain or suffering anymore He will always be loved, remembered and missed dearly.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Pope officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Oliver Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Arrowood, Corky Arrowood, Jimmy Booth, Matthew Bennett, Luke Milhorn and Gary McKee. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Rollins and Daniel Anderson.
