Mr. Fred Harvey Edwards, age 69, Jonesborough, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Edwards was born in Flag Pond, Tennessee and son of the late Guy & Meadie Stockton Edwards. In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Huskins Edwards and two sisters, Gertha Hagan and Wilma Lyons.

He was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Edwards was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He enjoyed quite time, reading his bible, spending time with his family, especially playing Corn Hole with them, and watching the Lady Vols.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Honeycutt Edwards, Jonesborough; children, Tammy Edwards Gray (Tim), Janette Edwards Golden (Jimmy), Freddie Edwards (Amber), Jason Lee Bennett (Marla), and Jodi Bennett Cash (Lee); step-children, Diana McKamey and Karen Simmons; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Edna King; brothers, Dillard Edwards and Guy Edwards, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Clark and Rev. Jimmie Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sons-In-Law and Grandsons.
