Mrs. Goldie Mae Greene, age 95, Jonesborough, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Greene was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Jason & Roselie Story Andes. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Greene was also preceded in death by her husband, Hardin Greene in 1998, sister, Sylvia Cole, brothers, Carl Andes and Ralph Andes and a grandson, Ricky Lynn Greene.

She was a member of Union Church of Christ and attended Bethel Church of Christ.

Mrs. Greene was a Homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Allen, Johnson City (recently of the home); three sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Lynn Greene, Jack Odell & Bonnie Greene and Stan & Carolyn Greene, all of Jonesborough; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Caris Hospice especially Angela, Linda and Nanoie and Dr. Kevin Sweet for their loving care given to our mother.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Terry Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Union Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Davenport, Bill Thompson, John Keplinger, Larry Benfield, Kenny Whaley and Kenneth Whaley.
