Mr. Matthew Justin Garland, age 20, Charlotte, NC, formerly of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home from injuries sustained in an accidental fall.
Matthew was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and son of Christina Hyde Daily and step-father, Jason W. Daily, Charlotte, NC and Billy D. Garland, Jr., Florida.
He graduated from Americus Sumter High School Americus, Georgia in 2011 and had attended Georgia Southwestern State University.
In addition to his parents, survivors one brother, Eric M. Daily; one sister, Deborah M. Daily; maternal grandmother, Frances J. Hyde; paternal grandfather, Billy D. Garland, Sr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Edgefield Cemetery, Piney Flats.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to our military soldiers and their family’s relief fund at 108th Griffon Association P.O. Box 3348 Asheboro, NC 27204.

Son it won't be long now... We will be having a great family reunion ?
Dear Chris, I was trying to locate your mom and found her on
the funeral parlor page. I was so sorry to find out that she had
died earlier. I also found that you lost your beloved son,
Matthew. This news broke my heart. I cannot imagine what
you and yours are going through. i realize that this is very late
to offer my Condolences but please accept my deepest
sympathy. i have been thinking of Andrea. gIve her my love.
