Mrs. Elizabeth Majors, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, January 4, 2013 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Majors was born in Johnson City and daughter of Flora & Arthur Higgins. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by late husband, Zane Gray, three brothers, Jack Higgins, Richard Higgins, Hugh Higgins, and two sisters, Gladys Hicks and Dorothy Willis.

She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and a devoted caretaker to her brother, Billy Higgins. Elizabeth was a woman who always seen the good in every person and situation in her life and had a heart filled with nothing but love and compassion for her family and friends. She will truly be missed by so many.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Majors, Johnson City; brothers, Billy Higgins, Johnson City, Johnny Cox, Blountville, nieces, Vickie Bacon and husband, Larry, Jonesborough who was of great help in her last days; and many more loving nieces, nephews and two special friends, Rita Sals and Colleen Walls.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Byron Paddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday prior to the service.

Graveside services will be conducted 12:30 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Willis, Mark McCourry, Luke Willis, Elmer Rodriguez, and Brian Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bacon, Marion Willis Jackie Willis, Michael Willis and Danny Willis.
