Mrs. Phyllis A. Brown, age 74, Telford, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Honaker, Virginia and daughter of the late Rev. Kyle & Hatie Kiser Hubbard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa & Perry Phillips and a brother Lawrence “Buddy” Hubbard.

She was a member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church and the Church Choir.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include her husband, H. Mack “Hoppy” Brown, Telford; sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie & Sandy Miller, two step sons and daughters-in-law Bobby & Christy Brown, and Jonathan & Yuri Brown; two step daughters and sons-in-law, Debra & David Martin and Ruth & Marcus Post; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Wesley & Nancy Hubbard and Thomas K. & Juanita Hubbard; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Eula Elkins, Neva Campbell, Mary & Jim Hale, Evelyn & Tom Van Dyke, along with several nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jody Jenkins and Rev. Gary Seaman officiating. Interment services will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Seth Brown, McKinley Brown, David Martin, David Martin, Jr., Daniel Martin and Brad Barnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Mosier, Joe Shaw, Derrick Plank, Wilson Brown and Keith Shirey.
