Mr. James “Jim” Burl Swift, age 81, Telford, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Swift was a native of Johnson County, TN and son of the late William Butler & Ada Warren Swift. In addition to his parents, Mr. Swift was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Deaderick Swift and several brothers and sisters.

He attended New Victory United Methodist Church.

Mr. Swift retired from the Washington County Highway Department and was a Farmer.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell & Cathy Swift and Dennis & Jamie Swift; grandchildren, Courtney Swift, Justin Swift, Ethan Swift and Emily Swift; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Ray & Martha Swift and Earl Clay & Pauline Swift; sister, Francis Epperly; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 10:00 am Friday, November 23, 2012 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Coy Rice officiating.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.
