Wanda Jean (Brobeck) Shaw, age 62, passed away unexpectedly October 19, 2012 at her home in Louisville, KY.

She was native of Washington County, TN and daughter of Josephine Barnes Brobeck, Limestone and the late William K. “Bill” Brobeck.

Jean was a graduate of Washington College Academy Class of 1967, East Tennessee State University class of 1971, where she received her BS Degree in Nursing and University of Rhode Island where she received her Masters Degree in Nursing.

She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Centerville, KY.

Jean had just retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville after 34 years.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Shaw in August 1988, her grandparents, Dana & Olga Henley Barnes.

Survivors include two daughters, Erin Shaw, Pewee Valley, KY and Gwen Shaw, Louisville, KY; her mother, Josephine B. Brobeck, Limestone; two sisters, Janet B. Jones and husband, Bob, and Karen B. McGrew and husband, Steve, all of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Christian, Hallie, Jenna, Cole and Brendon; aunt, Geraldine Huff and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Monday, October 22, 2012 with interment in the church cemetery.
