Mr. Jose E. Badillo, age 86, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Badillo was born in Puerto Rico and son of the late Jose Badillo and Mercedes Anazagasty de Badillo.

He was a United States Army Veteran receiving the Purple Heart.

He attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Muniz Badillo, Jonesborough; two sons, Wesley Badillo, New York City, Leslie Badillo, wife Sonya, Christiansburg, Va., one daughter, Nanette Duggan, husband William, Puerto Rico, five Grandchildren, Jeffery Duggan, Kevin Duggan, Walter Badillo, Brian Badillo, and Alex Badillo, two Great Grandchildren, Myla Duggan, Ella Badillo, one sister Nilda Badillo, Puerto Rico, and one brother, Etienne Badillo, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mr. Bodillo will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 5:00 pm at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm prior to the service. Interment services will be 10:00 am Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery
