Mr. Marlin G. Gray, age 69, Limestone, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Gray was born in Washington County, son of the late William A. & Mildred Stills Gray. He was also preceded in death by one sister Marilyn Narron.

He was a member of Telford Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, and Choir Member. He also sang in an Adult Choir the Golden Heirs.

Mr. Gray was a United States Navy Veteran.

He was a retired Building Inspector for the City of Johnson City.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ratliff Gray, Limestone; one daughter, Ginger Willis and husband Michael, Limestone, two grandchildren, Anthony Gray, and Leiland Willis, two brothers Harold Gray, Kenneth Gray (Barbara), three sisters, Wanda Stells (Dowyn), Texas, Sue Foster (Lester), Limestone, Vivian Baker (Doug), Johnson City, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, September 28 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Gray, Daniel Foster, Doug Baker, Roger Smith, Scott Johnston, and Mike Whaley.
