Mr. Dennis Leon Gray, Jr. age 70, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Gray was born in Greene County and son of Ruth Blankenship Gray, Jonesborough and the late Dennis Leon Gray, Sr.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Gray was a retired United States Navy Veteran and also retired from the Jonesborough Police Department. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, camping, reading, watching the Atlanta Braves and UT Vols. He was very loyal to his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Heather L. Gray; two sons, Tony L. Campbell (Sharon) and Tommy L. Campbell (Charity); their mother, Marie Knapp; one sister, Pat Richards (Ralph); grandchildren, Loyale Dennise Gilbert, Layden Gilbert, Legacy Gilbert and Lyrick Gilbert, Alexia Campbell, Tierra Campbell, John Paul Campbell, Callie Campbell, Lillian Campbell, Timothy Campbell, Eliana Campbell and Elizabeth Campbell; nephew and niece, David Richards and Debbie Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonesborough High School Class of 1959.
