Mrs. Dorothy Depriest, age 57, Greeneville, formerly of Telford, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Signature Healthcare Center of Greeneville.

Mrs. Depriest was born in Washington County the daughter of Ester Hayes Brown, Jonesborough and the late Walter Brown.

She was a member of New Victory Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother survivors include one daughter, Linda Ledford (Brian Cox), Jonesborough; two sons, Timothy Depriest (Donna), Jonesborough and Travis Depriest, Virginia; one brother, Bobby Brown (Teresa), Telford; two sisters, Kathy Miller (Tommy) and Janice Kennedy (Erick), all of Telford; six grandchildren, Kristine Ledford (Cody), Spencer Ledford, Matthew Ledford, Katlyn Depriest, Mackenzie Depriest and Isaiah Depriest; special friends, Steve & Carol Fields, Betty Miller, Nursing Staff of Signature Health Care and Amedysis Hospice (Washington & Greene County); very special pet, Baby; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, September 21, 2012 at New Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Coy Rice and Brother Charlie Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 pm Friday prior to the service. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cody Compton, Steve Fields, Spencer Ledford, Chad Miller, Scotty Brown, Kristine Ledford and Brian Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Depriest, Spencer Cox and Matthew Ledford.
