Mr. Alfred Corby, age 59, Limestone, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his residence from injures sustained in a farming accident.
Mr. Corby was a native of Greene County and lived most of his life in Limestone. He was a son of the late Jess & Georgia Estep Corby. In addition to his parents, Mr. Corby was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Edwin Lee Corby, two brothers, Ralph Corby and Paul Corby, one sister, Doris Corby and sister-in-law, Betty Corby.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Corby was employed by Washington County Farmer’s Co-op. He was an avid gardner and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Shanna Tallman Corby, Limestone; three brothers, Richard Corby and wife, Faye, Limestone, Earl Eugene, Johnson City and Charles Corby and wife, Pat, Limestone; two sisters, Mary Elsie Corby and Deloris Knowles, Limestone; and several loved nieces, nephews, favorite mother-in-law and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00 pm, Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Dallas Gregg officiating.
Pallbearers will be family & friends.
