Mrs. Betty S. Corby, age 78, Limestone, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Corby was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Henry Joe “Pap” & Lula Holloway “Mammy” Black. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Corby was also preceded in death by her first husband JC Willis, her second husband Paul “Junior” Corby, daughter, Lisa Ann Willis Forbes, seven brothers, Doc Holloway, Floyd Black, Earl Black, Roy Black, Bill Black, Henry Black and Pete Black, four sisters, Dorothy Tester, Gracie Evans, Gertrude Milhorn and Nell Reed.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Corby retired from Klopman Mills.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary “Tootie” Asher, Limestone, Barbara & Sammy Arrington, Afton and Amanda & David Taylor, Telford; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Ginger Willis, Limestone; grandchildren, Paul Leiland Willis, Anthony Gray, Kelsey Taylor, Marissa Taylor, Whitney Taylor, Leslie Patrick, Abby Arrington and Beth Forbes; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Samuel, Zackary, Lakia, Brady and Christopher; brother, Grady Black, Johnson City; special niece and caregiver, Bonnie Hensley; special niece, Sharon Ann Ramesar; special nephew, Johnny Willis; and special friend, Betty Willis.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond “Johnny” Dickerson, Rev. Dallas Gregg and Brother Buddy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends form 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 am Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Arrington, Charles Corby, Larry Massey, Joey Massey, Johnny Willis, and David Taylor.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Caris Hospice of Johnson City, Michael Deadrick, and all the nieces and nephews.

The family would like to make a special thank you to the staff of Caris Hospice especially Sandy, Kim, Patty, Linda, Jennifer, and Della, and also to Doctor Thwing and his medical staff and all the friends and family who have shown their love and support.
