Mrs. Donna Lee Holt, age 61, Telford, was called home on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at her residence from an unexpected death.

Mrs. Holt was born in Washington, D.C. and the daughter of John Henry Thomas and Virginia L. Van. She was raised by Bernard and Margaret Brown (grandparents) whom Mrs. Holt regarded as her parents. She will always be Margaret Brown’s (mom) Little Susie. She was the widow of Melvin A. Holt, April 1, 2011. Mrs. Holt was also preceded in death by her father, John Henry Thomas; grandfather, Bernard Brown, and a sister, Sonya Kay (Van) Renteria.

She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Fall Branch, where she was an active member for the past 6 years.

Mrs. Holt was employed by Johnson City Medical Center in the admitting department where she worked for 15 years. Prior to that, she worked several years at Household Bank and The Federal Census Bureau.

She was a beloved mother and mother-in-law to her 4 children and their spouses: Jesse & Cheryl Adams, Acworth, GA, Angela & Andy Jett, Ft. Washington, MD, Tonya & Herbert Grier, Bowie, MD, and Michele & Jerry King, II, Telford, TN; a loving Nanny to 20 grandkids, Jesse, Joey, Jenna, Natasha (Seged), Hunter, Shannon (Josh), Tara (Aaron), Casey, Ashley, Herbie, Jasmine, Jessica, Chelsi, Kristina, Christian, Cheyenne, and Caleb; a loving Nanny to 5 great-grandkids, Nicholas, Aubrey, Kaleb, Cameron, and Jaxon.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Fall Branch, with Pastor Harold Morelock, Rev. Dave Morelock, Rev. Dusty Wallen, and Rev. Jacob Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 â€" 7:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Adams, Herbert Grier, II, Christian King, Mike Rupert, Aaron Brackins, and Brian Grubb. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Metcalf and the Adult Sunday School Class of Cornerstone Fellowship Church.
