Ms. Sarita K. Archer, age 54, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Ms. Archer was a native of Washington County and daughter of Katherine Bailey Archer, Jonesborough and the late Thomas Dale Archer. In addition to her father, Ms. Archer was also preceded in death by a niece, Sarah Maxwell.

She was a life long member of Highland Church of Christ.

Ms. Archer graduated from David Crockett High School and ETSU, receiving a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She retired from Washington County School System. She loved to read and collect books.

In addition to her mother, survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda & Rick Maxwell, Cookeville, TN and Vickie Dale & Sam Shipley, Elizabethton; two nieces, Melissa Stone and husband, David and Chelsey Maxwell; great nephew, Pete Stone; great niece, Lucy Stone; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Highland Church of Christ with Minister Byron Paddock officiating. Interment services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Rick Maxwell, Sam Shipley, David Stone, Bruce Brown, Danny Bailey and Greg Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Range, Kyle Jenkins, Clyde Carter, Mike Hughes, Steve Tate, Bill Hammett, Lewis Hulse, Curtis Proffitt, Dr. Ed Brown, Paul Stover and Kenneth Francis.

Memorial donations may be made to Highland Church of Christ Building Fund 485 Highland Church Rd. Gray, Tennessee 37615.

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Chakradhar M. Reddy, Dr. Scott Caudle, Dr. Israel Garcia, Dr. Carmina Garcia and the Staff of ICU 2800 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center.
