Mrs. Maxine Hall, age 84, Limestone, Washington College Community, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the residence of her daughter.

Mrs. Hall was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late W.W. “Tooney” & Gertrude Denton Duncan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Ray “Jack” Hall, son, William Lawrence “Billy” Hall, a sister Margaret “Peggy” Spitzer, and a niece Mary Sue Skelton.

She was a founding member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hall was a lifelong member of Washington College Ruritan and a forever lifetime member of Ruritan National.

She was a homemaker and had worked for Tri-Cities Diaper Service, SH Kress, and Washington Collage Academy cafeteria.

Survivors include her children, Lynn Hall (Wanda), Joe Ray Hall, Nancy J. Hall and Randy Hall (Marcia); daughter-in-law, Karen Hall; grandchildren, Kelley Hall Harrell (Scotty), Michael Hall (Denna), Heather Hall, Zackery Hall, Brian Hall and Sandi Hall; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Anderson; and a special niece that was like a daughter, Jean Shelton.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and 11:00-12:00 at the church prior to the service.

Funeral services will be conducted 12, Noon Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Limestone Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. David Reece, Rev. Tim Broyles and Rev. Alfred Cutshall officiating. Interment services will follow at Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Dodson, Frank Bitner, Gilbert Hall, David Hall, Sam Myers and Mike Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Graves, David O’Brien, Larry Waddell, Cindy Sproles, Riley Thompson, Becky Bragg, Wilma Blair, Frances Manning and Kathy Atwell.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of 7400 and 7500 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center, HIMA Group, Dr. Nathan Elliott, Nurse Elsie and Amedysis Hospice & Home Healthcare.

Donation may be made to the Volunteer Fire Dept., Ruritan or Church of your choice.
