Mr. Danny Michael (Dynamite) Dickey, age 70, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at his residence after a hard battle with cancer.

Mr. Dickey was a native of Washington County and son of the late Carlton & Maude Pugh Dickey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dickey was also preceded in death by a son, Jody Dickey and a brother, Bill Dickey.

He was a member of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Dickey retired from Klopman Mills.

Danny was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees and was richly blessed by many family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Minor Dickey, Jonesborough; daughters and son-in-law, Lorie Anne & Mark Sparks and Amy Dickey; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis & Angela Dickey; grandchildren, Justin Sparks, Megan Sparks, Shane Dickey, Hannah Sparks and Kenneth Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Jed & Tammy Dickey; sisters, Susan Graves and Georgia Dickey; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Perry Cleek, Pastor Tim Broyles and Pastor Brian Nulf officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:30 pm Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Little, Mark Sparks, Justin Sparks, Shane Dickey, Kyle White, and Kenneth C. Hill.
