Mrs. Betty Lee Keys, age 69, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Keys was a native of Washington County and daughter of the late Antoinette Woodruff Cloyd. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keys was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Kyker, brother, Roy Cloyd and a half brother, Junior Cloyd.

She was a member of New Victory United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Keys was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, growing flowers and quilting.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip “Pie” Keys, Jonesborough; one daughter and son-in-law, Jill & Larry Emmert, Jonesborough; two sons, Jackie Keys, Telford and Jason Keys, Jonesborough; two special grandchildren, Cassie Emmert and Aaron Keys, II; two sisters, Jane Johnson, Erwin and Louise Sliger, Jonesborough; two brothers, Bob Keplinger, Jonesborough and Howard Cloyd, Telford; and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2012 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Garland James officiating.

Pallbearers will be Larry Emmert, Calvin Cooper, Tommy Vance, Mark Keplinger, David Keplinger, Bob Keplinger and Jeff Proffitt.
