Mr. Roy F. Cloyd, age 68, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Cloyd was a native of Washington County and son of the late Shelby & Antoinette Woodruff Cloyd. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cloyd was also preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Sparks and a sister, Geraldine Kyker.

He was a Christian.

Survivors include one son, Tony Cloyd, Jonesborough; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Tim McCarver, Jemison, Alabama; grandchildren, Tony Lee Cloyd, Jr., Jacob Allen Cloyd, Beth Cloyd, Victoria Renée McCarver and Ashley Brooke McCarver; great-grandchild, Paton McGuire; two brothers, Bob Keplinger and Midget Cloyd, both of Jonesborough; three sisters, Louise Sliger, Betty Keys, both of Jonesborough and Jane Johnson, Erwin; and several nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at New Victory Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Kathy Fowler officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tom Sparks, Joe Clay, Greg Stockton, Ronnie Cloyd, Paul Keplinger and Jimmy Bennett.
