Mr. Eddie Malone, age 60, Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord and his family Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Malone was a native of Washington County and son of the late Grover J. & Amanda “Mandy” Booker Malone. In addition to his parents, Mr. Malone was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Malone and one brother, Bobby Malone.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Malone was a Manager in the Meat Department at White’s Grocery Store. He was a member of the Tri-State Antique Power Association Tractor Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary “Ann” Dykes Malone, Jonesborough; son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Penny Malone, Jonesborough; daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel & Jason Faulkner and Melissa & Mike Curtis, all of Jonesborough; grandchildren, Johnny Holder II, Whitney Holder, Gavin Faulkner, Lauren Faulkner, Zoey Faulkner, Nathan Faulkner and Sydney Faulkner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don & Teddy Malone, Jonesborough, Billy Joe & Sue Malone, Telford, David & Kay Malone, Elizabethton, Jerry & Brenda Malone, L.J. & Vickie Malone and Grover “Jay” Malone, all of Jonesborough; sisters and brother-in-law, JoAnn Feathers and Donna Sue & David Casteel, all of Jonesborough; several nephews and nieces; and a very special friend “Raider”.

The Malone family would like to extend very special thanks to Dr. Jeff Farrow, Caris Hospice, Dr. Christine Kinley, Dr. Jim Montag and many family, friends and neighbors for their wonderful love and support during Eddie’s sickness.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Dykes, Rev. Coy Butler and Rev. Harold McNabb officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert Malone, Jason Faulkner, Howard Blevins, Johnny Holder II, Johnny Holder, and Kelvin “Dinky” Hartley. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Curtis, Gavin Faulkner, Nathan Faulkner, Dr. Jeff Farrow and Dr. Jim Montag.
